Dr. Richhart is a gastroenterologist with specialized training in the diagnosis and management of digestive and liver diseases. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine before completing his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Florida. He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Transplant Hepatology at the University of Florida, a major liver transplant center, where he gained extensive experience caring for patients with complex liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver transplantation. His training also included comprehensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, acid reflux, inflammatory bowel disorders (including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), eosinophilic esophagitis, and celiac disease.

Originally from Arlington, Virginia, Dr. Richhart is proud to return to the Washington metropolitan area and serve patients throughout suburban Maryland and the surrounding communities. He is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based, and patient-centered care, partnering closely with patients to promote long-term digestive and liver health.
