Melissa Nickols, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who previously practiced in Emergency Medicine and has a strong foundation in inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology prior to joining Gastro Center of Maryland in 2026. She cares for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic digestive conditions. Melissa is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and believes that education and open communication are essential to achieving the best outcomes. She strives to create a comfortable environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Melissa earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park and completed her physician assistant training at Arcadia University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog, traveling, and reading.
