Sonam Chadha, MSN, FNP-BC, is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at the Gastro Center of Maryland. She specializes in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Sonam brings over 15 years of clinical experience across diverse healthcare settings. Prior to specializing in gastroenterology, she served as an inpatient Nurse Practitioner in Surgery and Otolaryngology at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York, where she performed comprehensive assessments, developed individualized treatment plans, and guided patients through pre/post-operative care. Her background also includes experience working as a Registered Nurse at a Medical-Surgical unit with NYU Langone Health, OB-GYN at Northshore University Hospital, Ophthalmology Island Eye Surgicenter and special-needs pediatric care within District 75 for the New York City Department of Education.
Sonam earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Pace University, graduating with Dean’s List and Honors. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at George Washington University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Adelphi University.
She is known for her strong communication skills, compassionate approach, and commitment to improving health outcomes through evidence-based practice. Sonam has a particular interest in preventive gastroenterology care, chronic condition management, and empowering patients through education and individualized care planning.
Originally based in New York, Sonam relocated to Maryland for family and to continue advancing her career in specialty care and to serve a growing patient population within the region.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running marathons with her husband, watching ravens football games, playing sports, traveling and enjoy spending time with her family in New York and Maryland.
